Hey, all!

I'm back from a small "trip" to the hospital as a patient... had a quick surgery on Friday to remove the old left kidney, but I'm back home now. Didn't want to worry y'all too much, so you're finding out in retrospect; I'll be checking on all the messages you all left sometime today after church!

Silke , I have thought of you a lot over the Commonwealth Games time and have prayed for you and your boldness to speak out for the Lord Jesus. How's it going?.

Now I shall be praying for a speedy recovery from your operation. Hope you are comfortable and not too sore.

Gail;

I'll get right on that! I'll try to remember to pack my camera next Sunday...

I'm still quite sore, but too stubborn to take any more narcotics! The notes I took in church yesterday are entirely worthless due to illegibility! Plus, I don't like being "drugged;" so I think I'm better off "roughin' it" on just Tylenol:)

Silke, I was re-reading Matt's "Facedown", last night and I remembered that you gave your copy away to the woman on the plane. Well that thought prompted me to pray for her and I also pray that she reads the book.

Here is something that Matt wrote in it which appealled to me

" the first Christians were inspired by the Resurrection and empowered by the Holy Spirit.Yet we see another factor that played a role in their effectivenes to shine as the people of God in this world: they walked in awe of God. these followers of Jesus had seen the big picture--A God glorious enough to spend their whole lives on and powerful enough to uphold them as they did so.

I love that and hope that it speaks to you too.

love Gail
